3.3.2.1.1: Bereavement Leave

In the event of the death of a family or household member, a full-time employee may be given an authorized paid absence of up to three (3) days, dependent upon need. For these purposes, a family member includes a person’s spouse, parent, grandparent, step-parent, child, grandchild, step-child, sibling, in-law, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew or cousin. Limits of leave may be extended at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor and the Human Resources Director.
