5.3.2: Introductory Period
Each new employee (or employee starting a new position at the University) is subject to a six-month introductory period. During this period, the employee’s supervisor is expected to provide the employee with adequate instructions for carrying out the employee’s duties and to help the employee adjust to the new position. At or about the three-month and six-month anniversary dates, the employee is to receive a performance appraisal. An employee who receives an unsatisfactory performance appraisal may be separated from University employment.
