Drug and Alcohol Policy | Spalding University Policy Guide

1.2.0.0: Drug and Alcohol Policy

The use of any drugs, including alcohol, in the University community must be within the limits of federal and state laws. The University reminds students and staff members of their responsibility to know and obey these federal and state statues.

While the University is not specifically responsible for the enforcement of federal and state drug and alcohol laws, agencies charged with this legal responsibility have the authority to carry out their duties on campus. The University does not wish to provide a haven for illegal drug or alcohol activity. Thus, individuals who illegally possess, use, or supply prohibited drugs or alcohol within the academic community risk action by the appropriate civil authorities and consequent penalty.
