The information contained in Volume V applies to Spalding University staff members only. It has been developed for use by University employees who do not hold faculty appointments. Policies that pertain specifically to faculty are contained in the Faculty Governance Document and Volume IV of the Policy Manual. General policies that affect all members of the campus community (including students, staff, faculty and visitors) are set forth in Volume II of the Policy Manual. Volume V supersedes all previous employment handbooks or written employment policies. In the event of a conflict between Volume V and any other University policy document, the terms of Volume V shall govern.

Any oral or written statements or promises to the contrary made to any prospective or existing employee are hereby expressly disavowed and should not be relied upon by any prospective or existing employee. All written employee contracts must be signed by the President or the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs.
