2.1.1: Conflicts of Interest

The University has a clear obligation and commitment to conduct all affairs of the University in accordance with the highest standards of integrity and ethics. University employees are expected to observe the highest standards of ethical behavior in the course of their job performance, including compliance with all federal, state and local laws.

It is the policy of the University to prohibit University officers and employees from engaging in any activity, practice or act which conflicts with, or appears to conflict with, the best interests of the University. In addition, University officers and employees are obligated to avoid any situation in which an actual or potential conflict of interest could arise. Any situation or activity involving a potential conflict of interest must be disclosed in advance in accordance with the policy and procedures set forth below.
