18.104.22.168: Long Term Disability Insurance
The University offers long-term disability insurance, through an independent carrier, to eligible employees who complete the appropriate application form. Long-term disability is provided as follows: Employees having completed twelve (12) continuous months of employment at the University are entitled, after six (6) months of total disability, to monthly cash income of 60% of monthly base salary, less Social Security, Veteran’s Benefits or other government disability benefit. The maximum monthly benefit is $5,000; the minimum monthly benefit is $100. Employees should contact the Human Resources Office for additional information on long-term disability insurance.
